Let's have the conversations mothers are already having.

Some of the most meaningful conversations begin with a simple question: “Can we talk… mother to mother?” Mothers After Mothering Conversations bring women together to talk openly about the season that comes when our children are grown and motherhood begins to look different. These gatherings aren't about having all the answers. They're about real conversations, shared experiences, reflection, laughter, connection, and knowing you're not the only one figuring this out.

What Do We Talk About?

Every conversation can be a little different because every group of women brings its own experiences to the room.

Topics may include:

• Helping vs. carrying - When does helping our adult children become doing too much?

• Letting go with love - How do we step back without feeling like we're abandoning our children?

• Changing relationships - What happens when the mother-child relationship begins to look different?

• Guilt & expectations - Are we holding ourselves, or our adult children, to expectations that no longer fit?

• Understanding our adult children - How can we listen to their experiences without immediately trying to fix them?

• Rediscovering ourselves - After years of active mothering, what does this next season look like for us?

Bring the Conversation to Your Community

Mothers After Mothering Conversations can be hosted in welcoming spaces where women already gather, including: Libraries • Bookstores • Churches & Women's Ministries • Community Organizations • Women's Groups • Book Clubs

A gathering can be centered around one of the YES! books or simply around the Mothers After Mothering conversation itself. The books can help start the conversation, but you don't have to have read a book to join it.

What Can a Gathering Look Like?

It doesn't have to be formal. A Mothers After Mothering gathering can be an intimate group conversation, an author talk and discussion, a book-centered conversation, a women's ministry gathering, a library or bookstore program, or a community event. The goal is simple: create a comfortable space where mothers can talk, listen, reflect, and connect.
